CLOWNING ACHIEVEMENT
Our favorite critic, Mike Greenblatt, weighs in on Atlas Jams with the first review of the new single by Mike Daly & The Planets:
"Kill A Clown" by Mike Daly & The Planets is a delicious slice of power pop out of New Jersey with chunky guitars and perfecto vocals. Daly sneers it good like the clown killer he is. Complete with kazoo break and gunshot, it's a visceral blast of goodtimey violence. Please note that no clowns were harmed during the recording. Daly's a cross vocally between Graham Parker, Elvis Costello and/or Joe Jackson. The single is available now in Amazon MP3, iTunes and CD Baby.
ON THE RADIO
On Sunday, Dec. 4, "Kill a Clown (No, Not Really)," the new single by Mike Daly & The Planets, was featured on consecutive installments of "Anything Anything With Rich Russo." The show airs Sunday nights back-to-back on 107.1 The Peak (serving New York's Westchester and Rockland counties and Upper New Jersey) and 105.5 WDHA-FM (serving northern, central and western New Jersey). GRADE: A
"The Cosmic Adventures of ManBoy" was named "Disc of The Week" in The Aquarian Weekly. Music critic Mike Greenbatt raves: "Four songs. 13 minutes. All muscle. Not a second of fat." You can read the full review here.
